Why choose a shampoo bar over liquid shampoo? The Chey solid bars are free from harsh chemicals or fragrance. Commercial liquid shampoos often contain sulphate compounds that damages and dries your hair. For more information about sulphate please go to the general questions page. None of our products contain sulphate, parabens, silicone or any such synthetic chemicals. This makes it suitable for everyone. From kids to pregnant women! Unlike the bottled liquid shampoos, our bars come with minimal but lovely packaging, are travel-friendly and never leak inside your bag containing valuables.
-
What is the difference between Chey shampoo bars and other wellknown shampoo bar brands? The LUSH bars are probably the most wellknown bars of the world. Unfortunately there key ingredient is sulphate. As mentioned before, we highly recommend that you avoid that at all costs!

Which bar do you recommend for my hairtype? When it comes to oily scalp, the Jasmine Shampoo bar removes the excess oil and cleans up the pores. On a dry scalp, it locks the moisture and promotes hair rejuvenation. For a sensitive scalp, it offers calmness. This makes the Jasmine bar suitable for all hairtypes. The calendula bar has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and provides a deep, effective cleanse. This bar is also suitable for all hairtypes including people who suffer from dandruff. This along with scalp damage can lead to hair fall so healing the scalp is important to healthy strong hair. The key ingredient of our coconut bar is coconut oil. This increases blood circulation, nourishes your hair and prevents the loss of moisture, improves your hair texture and prevents frizz. Almonds are best for repairing hair damage and preventing hair loss. Almonds contain catalase, which breakdown the free radicals and restore hair health. We recommend this bar for dry or damaged hair. This bar also works magic on wavy/curly hair! Regarding our unisex bar: bamboo charcoal removes the dirt and excessive oil from your hair. Without stripping the natural oils. This cleans the scalp pores, allows your scalp to breathe and lets it absorb nutrients effectively. Bamboo Charcoal Shampoo clears away the dust particles and dandruff that reside on your hair. It's suitable for all hairtypes as well!

Why go plastic free?Plastic pollution on land poses a threat to the plants and animals – including humans who are based on the land. ... Chlorinated plastic can release harmful chemicals into the surrounding soil, which can then seep into groundwater or other surrounding water sources and also the ecosystem of the world.

Why are products with sulfates/parabenes/silicones bad for your hair?A sulfate is a cleansing agent and surfactant that can be found in household cleaners, detergents and shampoos. The two biggies that many shampoos contain are Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES). These and other sulfates create the lathering effect that removes dirt and oil from your hair and scalp. Sounds great, but these harsh sulfates can disrupt the moisture/protein balance by stripping the hair of it’s natural oils. Long-term daily use of a sulfate shampoo can create dry, frizzy and undefined hair. Parabens are added to Haircare products to promote hair growth but are known to disrupt hormone function, an effect that is linked to increased risk of breast cancer and reproductive toxicity. Yikes! Silicones are polymers that are meant to provide slip and shine while taming frizz. Wonderful, right? Unfortunately, these silicones can build up on the hair over time and create a residue barrier, which blocks moisture from reaching the hair shaft. The only way to remove silicones is with a sulfate shampoo, which shows below that's not an option. Endless cycle begins and no moisture/protein balance can be achieved.
